THE BATTLE FOR THE MARKETING CLOUD–SEE THE HOTTEST MARKETING TECH START-UPS IN SILICON VALLEY TONIGHT

This evening, the TriplePoint team will be hanging out at The Battle for the Marketing Cloud, a panel on marketing technology hosted by Mike Maples Jr. (managing partner at FLOODGATE, early investor in Lyft and Twitter, and all around good guy) and featuring our friends at DoubleDutch. The panel will run from 6:00 to 9:30 with plenty of time for networking (and an open bar, to boot), and we invite you to tag along!

If you didn’t already know, marketing technology is poised to be the next Big Thing in technology. In fact, it’s been a Big Thing for a little while, but no one has realized it—market research firm Gartner has predicted that CMOs will outspend CIOs on Technology by 2017, and top-notch marketing companies are getting snatched up by Oracle and Salesforce  for billions.

The panel includes some of the hottest start-ups carving out a piece of the market—DoubleDutch just raised $10 million in Series C funding for their innovative mobile event applications, KISSmetrics has been making waves as one of the leaders in marketing data analytics, Genius.com builds marketing automation tools used by big players like Intuit and Cisco, and Traackr helps companies identify and manage their most influential social media acolytes. Together, the panelists will tackle the need-to-know questions around why the time is now to be looking at marketing technology, how that tech is built and sold, and what it means for the future of marketing around the world.
