Join TriplePoint for PR Workshops at Parisoma This Summer!

TriplePoint is teaching a series of workshops on the basics of PR this summer in San Francisco. Intended for entrepreneurs and useful for anyone who wants to understand how PR works, the classes are offered in partnership with Parisoma. An incubator and coworking space, Parisoma has a great education and mentorship program that we’re proud to be part of!

This three-part series came out of feedback from a longer program we did with Parisoma. During those classes we learned which PR skills are top priority for entrepreneurs, and we concentrated the summer sessions down to the essentials. In short, people wanted to learn how to pitch, and quite a few specifically wanted to pitch mobile apps.

Here’s the schedule:

6:30pm – 8:00pm
Tuesday, June 24: Intro to PR
Tuesday, July 22: Media Relations 101
Tuesday, August 12: Mobile Launch PR 101

The first session will cover the basics of what PR is, how it complements other marketing activities, and how to measure effectiveness. Media Relations 101 and Mobile Launch PR 101 will start with a brief presentation and then move quickly into hands-on workshops. The class sizes are small so each person can get individual feedback and advice.

A few things attendees will learn:

  • What a bad pitch looks like and how to fix it

  • How to find the right journalists for your pitch

  • Situations when PR is not effective

  • The right and wrong time to launch a mobile app

Come with your PR challenges and spend the session making progress towards kicking off a real PR campaign. The classes are a steal at $25 (early-bird price), and a great way to get started!

Tickets are available for Intro to PR here, and please check out the upcoming classes schedule for the next sessions.

We hope to see you there!
